Coloring Banner
The MCAS Beaufort Air Show is more than just fun for the entire family. It is a chance for Beaufort and the surrounding cities and towns to interact with MCAS Beaufort; to learn the story behind the “noise”. It also provides an interactive place for children to be introduced to the aeronautics industry.

This year marks the introduction of the MCAS Beaufort Air Show Coloring Banner. In the spirit of encouraging children to come together to learn, play, and create, a 20’x6’ mural will be placed near the Kids’ Zone. We are encouraging parents to bring their children by and let them color and draw on the mural. The finished mural will be given to our sponsor, Centex, as a special thank you gift for making this activity possible.

Helicopter Rides
Take a ride in a UH-1H Huey and an AH-1F Cobra!

The Huey is a military helicopter powered by a single turboshaft engine with a two-bladed main rotor and tail rotor. It was designed to transport troops and its first combat operation was during the Vietnam War.

The AH-1F Cobra is a two-blade, single engine attack helicopter that was designed to escort transport helicopters, such as the Huey, safely to the landing zone. Surplus AH-1 helicopters are used by the U.S. Forest Service to fight forest fires.

A ride in a UH-1H Huey is $85 for 6-8 mins.
A ride in an AH-1F Cobra is $350 for 8-10 mins or $550 for 12-15 mins.

Objectives

The objective of the MCAS Beaufort Air Show is to continue to enhance community relations with our neighboring communities. By opening our gates to the public and delivering a free, world-class Air Show to the Lowcountry, is just one way to extend our sincere thanks to the steadfast, Lowcountry citizens for their unfailing support to the Air Station year-round. It also allows us to continue to educate the community on the mission of Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort as a whole.

As a secondary objective, the MCAS Beaufort Air Show is an opportunity to showcase all branches of military service and provide the local community the opportunity to interact with their local recruiters and better understand the role the military plays in supporting the overall defense of our nation.
