Beaufort Air Show

Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort Air Show is scheduled for April 21-22, and the 4th annual Soft Shell Crab Festival, produced by the Old Village Association in the Village of Port Royal April 21.

The Air Show, which is free and open to the public, will feature the Blue Angels, the Navy’s flight demonstration squadron, along with several other high-caliber aerial demonstration teams and numerous civilian and military aircraft displays.

The Soft Shell Crab Festival, which is also free and open to the public, will feature its signature soft-shell blue crabs as well as other refreshments, art exhibits and craft vendors. This year’s festival will also extend into the evening hours and include a live concert in Port Royal.

Make your plans now to enjoy a true Lowcountry experience – “The Sound of Freedom and a Taste of the Sea.

The Air Station has teamed up with several Lowcountry food pantries and local boy scout troops to hold a voluntary can food drive in conjunction with the Air Show. We are asking each spectator to bring one can of non-perishable canned food. The show remains free and open to the public as always, but spectators who are interested in participating in the food drive are asked to bring one can of food each.

Drop off points will be conveniently located at each of the gates, so spectators can drop off their food before they park their vehicles.

Helping us in this effort are Boy Scout Troop 1 of Beaufort and Boy Scout Troop 252 of Columbia as community service projects.

Sponsoring this Air Show is one of the ways the Marine Corps has of saying, "Thank you!" to the South Carolina Lowcountry. The continued support of your Marines, Sailors, and their families has been unwavering. Your warm hospitality, friendship and commitment to the welfare of our Armed Forces service members and families are greatly appreciated.
