Korean War Hero
Jim Tobul, from Bamberg, South Carolina, pilots the “Korean War Hero,” a 1945 Chance Vought F4U-4 Corsair. This plane served in the Korean War aboard several Navy carriers including the USS Boxer in VF-653, the USS Valley Forge in VF-884 and others. During these tours, over 200 combat missions were accumulated making this aircraft a true combat veteran. Fresh out of restoration this year the F4U-4 Corsair shines and has never looked better.
