Welcome Letter from Commanding Officers of Marine Aircraft Group 31 and MCAS Beaufort
On behalf of the Marines and Sailors of "Fightertown" and the surrounding Lowcountry community, we extend a warm welcome to Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, South Carolina.

We are pleased to be your hosts for a full weekend of exciting events and fun for the whole family. Topflight aerial performances, numerous aircraft displays and other attractions will prove informative and entertaining for all. This spectacular event has been heralded as the premier Air Show in the region and one of the finest in the nation.

This year's show will be held in conjunction with the Town of Port Royal's annual Soft Shell Crab Festival, produced by the Old Village Association, in the Village of Port Royal April 21. We hope you will make plans to attend both events, for a true Lowcountry experience - "The Sound of Freedom and a Taste of the Sea."

Sponsoring this Air Show is one of the ways the Marine Corps has of saying,"Thank you!" to the South Carolina Lowcountry. The continued support of your Marines, Sailors, and their families has been unwavering. Your warm hospitality, friendship and commitment to the welfare of our Armed Forces service-members and families are greatly appreciated. The excellent rapport and support that we are fortunate to enjoy are unequalled, and stand as a true testament to the patriotism and dedication of this community. We're honored to open our gates and welcome you into our home for the Air Show.

As you visit with us, we hope you will take the opportunity to get to know more about us. We are proud of our military service and enjoy our jobs.
